FIGMA PROTOTYPE -
UNITED WAY
FOOD DELIVERY APP

While attending the College for Creative Studies, I took an Intermediate UX/UI Interaction course where we as students were asked to choose a non-profit in our hometowns and create an interactive application with functional buttons.

We initially started with wireframes on paper, brought them into a digital program like Illustrator or Photoshop, and then proceeded to build them to their fullest extent in Figma.

USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH PROCESS & THE WIREFRAME DEVELOPMENT

Before we even began establishing a prototype, we were asked to survey a few people that would or have interacted with applications similar to our proposed idea. From there, we took their feedback, such as concerns of Accessibility, Security and Complexity into account and began creating our wireframe.

As you can tell from my wireframe to the left, I was deciding between showing the application’s functionality from a volunteer’s perspective or from the view of a general user needing to schedule food deliveries.

DEVELOPING PERSONAS

Along the way, we also had to describe a targeted audience for the application through the creation of a persona. As the majority of United Way’s Food Delivery services target elderly individuals, that’s where I started.

We were also required to pinpoint some of the key pain points and frustrations a user might run into or have based off of our targeted audience, as well as what they needed specifically from the application.
